About Nitro.Film

Cinema, curated.

A private cinema for films that deserve to be remembered — not forgotten in a digital archive.

Not a library.
A point of view.

Nitro.Film is a curated streaming platform for classic and public domain cinema — films from the silent era through the mid-twentieth century, selected and presented with care.

Every film earns its place. We don't surface everything that's technically watchable. We surface what's worth watching — the masterworks, the forgotten gems, and the films that shaped everything that followed.

A century of film, at your fingertips.

From Lumiere's first moving images in 1895 to the cinema of the New Hollywood era — over six hundred films, carefully chosen, beautifully presented.

Alongside the films, our Radio section brings together vintage music, live performances, and spoken word recordings from the same era. Culture, whole and uninterrupted.

"Streaming a film and watching a film are not the same thing. One is a transaction. The other is an experience. We're building the latter."

01
Editorial curation

Every film is reviewed before it's added. We look at print quality, historical significance, and whether it's genuinely worth a viewer's time.

02
Cinematic presentation

No banner ads. No pop-ups. No autoplaying trailers. The film is the experience — we design around it, not over it.

Founder

Nitro.Film was built by Harry Lang, a former Product Executive with Pluto TV, Paramount Pictures and Hallmark Media. With a genuine love for classic cinema and a conviction that these films deserve a better home than they've been given. The platform is designed, developed, and curated independently — with help from some very capable AI tools.
